Challenge
Muse is a fictional streaming service. The aim of the new logo design is to create a geometric grid that could later be used for other design applications. I also developed first drafts for the new streaming app.
Approach
The
foundation
for
the
new
logo
design
was
derived
from
geometry.
Based
on the
ratio
1:1.618,
also
known
as
the
golden
ratio,
a
grid
was
constructed
on
which
the
final
logo
was
built.
The primary color red is used as an highlighting color to emphasize important areas within the app design, drawing attention to where you need it most. The blue tones are used as a secondary color palette.
The logo combines the shape of a play button with the shape of the first letter "M".
Outcome
The registration and login area of the app was designed to fit the new color scheme and the new logo. With the focus on a modern and user-friendly design, the first drafts for the home area, the music player and the music library were also created.
It's not too hard to find what you need if the right steps are taken! The first step is to select a category such as "playlist," or "favorites" and then filter your content accordingly. This way, when searching through your own music there will be less clutter and finding the perfect song won't take too long!
After login users will first see the search bar positioned at the top of the home screen. With a quick tap you can find favorite songs, or just keep listening to songs which you were last listening to.
Simply swipe over the album cover to go to a new song or create your own playlist of songs by clicking on the icons in the toolbar below.
